Rachel Rucker is a graduate student and teaching assistant in the Classics department. She holds a BA in Classical Languages from the University of Oklahoma with a minor in History and an MA in Classics from the University of Iowa. Her research interests are in affect theory, emotion, Archaic Greek poetry, and the development of early Medieval Latin texts. She is currently working on her dissertation, entitled "Feeling Queer: Unhappiness and Queer Identity in Homer, Sappho and Sophocles".
