Biography
Yunhwa Kim is a second-year PhD student in Religious Studies whose research explores lived Buddhist practice, gender, and the making of religion in modern Korea. Before beginning his doctoral studies, he worked as a journalist in South Korea for four years.
He earned his BA from Korea University in 2018 and studied Buddhism at the Graduate School of Buddhist Studies, Dongguk University, from 2022 to 2023.
Since 2021, he has written monthly essays for IPKU (https://www.ipku.co.kr/), a Korean web magazine focused on meditation, spirituality, and everyday ethical life.
